RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA – Native POP is transforming downtown Rapid City into a cross-cultural and multimedia experience with art, performance, food, and now film. This year, for the first time, the fourth annual Native POP: People of the Plains art market and cultural celebration will feature a Native film showcase. This event is free and open to the public and will feature a series of short films, documentaries and music videos by Native filmmakers including Razelle Benally, Juliana Clifford, Tara Rose Weston, Keith Brave Heart, Jedadiah Richards, Heid E. Erdrich, Cinnamon Spear, Kenn and John Little, Angel Two Bulls, Jesse Short Bull, and Indigene Studio.
The first annual Native POP film showcase, Saturday July 16, 10am-6pm at The Seed Theater attached to the Barefoot Dance Studio at 412 5th Street in downtown Rapid City and will run concurrently with the Native POP art market and cultural celebration.
