GALLUP, NEW MEXICO – The Navajo Nation’s Office of President and Vice President released a statement late Monday afternoon (local time) informing the media that Clinton Johnson has been located.
Johnson is the stepfather of the two Navajo boys who were listed as missing through an Amber Alert over the weekend.
The statement read: “The FBI and New Mexico State Police located Clinton Johnson, 26, on June 5, 2016. Johnson had reportedly abducted two young Navajo boys from Wheatfields Lake earlier the same day. An investigation into the circumstances continues. No decision has yet been made on whether to seek criminal charges.
No further information will be released at this time.”
The two brothers were recovered yesterday unharmed.
