FULTON, MICHIGAN – On May 19, 2016, the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi issued the oath of office to newly-re-elected Tribal Council Members Homer A. Mandoka and Jamie Stuck.

Upon completion of the oath of office, NHBP Tribal Council conducted its officers’ appointments. Jamie Stuck was appointed Chairperson and Dorie Rios was appointed Vice-Chairperson. Christine Lanning was appointed as Secretary; Tony Day was appointed as Treasurer, and Homer A. Mandoka was appointed Sergeant-at-Arms.

“The combined wealth of experience and dedication of our Tribal Council will allow us to continue to provide a strong and stable government for our Tribal Members and to ensure that our actions prepare our Tribe to meet the needs of the next seven generations,” Stuck said.

Stuck, of Scotts, Michigan, has served on Tribal Council since 2006; Rios, of Battle Creek, Michigan, has served on Tribal Council since 2010; Lanning, of Newaygo, Michigan, has served on Tribal Council since 2013; Day, of Union City, Michigan, has served on Tribal Council since 2012; and Mandoka, of Bronson, Michigan, has served on Tribal Council since 2002.
