WASHINGTON – A “Conditinon Red” was called on the White House grounds in the nation’s capital city. The high alert was called because of a shooting that occured on Friday afternoon.
A suspect approached a Secret Service at 17th and E Streets in Washington, near the White House. He bransished a gun and would not drop the weapon when ordered to do so by the Secret Service. The suspect was then shot in the abdomen. The suspect is in custody and taken to a local Washington hospital.
President Barack Obama was not on the White House property when the shooting incident took place. Vice President Joseph Biden was on the White House complex.
