Suspect Still At-large and Considered Armed & Dangerous

FORT HALL, IDAHO — Tyron Diaz, an American Indian male, was shot and killed from a shotgun near the Fort Hall Elementary School in Fort Hall, Idaho on Monday evening.

At about 6:45PM the Fort Hall Police Department received a call of a shooting at a residence on B Avenue near the school. When officers arrived they located Diaz deceased from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his face.

The suspect in the shooting is Demetrius Anthony Gomez, 29. Gomez is considered armed and dangerous. Gomez was last seen leaving the scene of the killing.

The investigation is ongoing by the Fort Hall Police and Federal Bureau of Investigation. There is a $2,000 reward for any information leading to the apprehension of Gomez, he is considered armed and dangerous, if anyone has information they need to contact the Fort Hall Police at 238-4000.
