WAYLAND, MICHIGAN — The Gun Lake Investments board of directors appointed Kurt Trevan to lead their investment and economic development efforts. Mr. Trevan has a long term successful career with banking, gaming, investment and entrepreneurial development.
He has also served on the Tribal Council, as treasurer, and the Gun Lake Gaming Authority for the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians for the last three and half years, as well as the board for Gun Lake Investments.
Travan come well equipped with a master’s of finance. Additionally, he is finishing his MBA from the University of Michigan.
“Kurt will provide unparalleled leadership for our efforts to lead as an economic catalyst. We are investing in our Tribe, West Michigan, and the overall economy for the State. Creating jobs on and off the reservation still represent a job in our region,” says Gun Lake Investments Chairman Eric S. Trevan. “We’re thankful for the vision of the Tribal Council to create this entity.”
The State of Michigan is supportive of the efforts of Gun Lake Investment and support GLI as a catalyst that provides a tremendous competitive advantage to the State of Michigan.

The goals of Gun Lake Investments are to enhance the Tribe’s economy and increase employment opportunities, both on and off-reservation. Investments will focus on real estate and established companies where the Tribe has a competitive advantage.
“It’s exciting to play a role in creating long term diversification for the Tribe, that will generate sustainability for generations to come, and become a resource within the regional business ecosystem” stated Chief Executive Officer Kurt Trevan.
Gun Lake Investments is a tribal business entity created by the Gun Lake Tribe in 2015. The Gun Lake Tribe opened its Gun Lake Casino five years ago in February 2011. This entity has a focus on developing a tribal economy beyond gaming through strategic investments and economic development in the West Michigan area, as well as globally.
Gun Lake Investments will execute, in the best interest of the tribal citizens, a strategy for a long term sustainable economy and supporting economic self-sufficiency for the tribal citizens of Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians.
