OAKLAND – The Intertribal Friendship House in Oakland, Californai will hold its 60th Anniversary event on Saturday, January 30, from 2:00-5:30 pm.

IFH60The event is entitled, “Community Is Good Medicine.”

Events planned include a dance demonstration by the Medicine Warriors dance troupe with a new generation of dancers as young as three-years-old.

Drumming will be provided by All Nations drum group. There will be a silent and live auction in order to raise funds for the community center known in the San Francisco Bay Area as the “urban rez.”

Appetizers will be served, and entertainment will be provided by singer/songwriter Jeremy Goodfeather. The Intertribal Friendship House is located at 523 International Boulevard, Oakland, California 94606.
